Moving to Thailand
For years, I worked as a sound designer in Berlin’s indie game community. The job was exciting, but the constant deadlines and city noise made it hard to stay creative. I wanted a calmer environment that still had good digital infrastructure for remote work.
Thailand surprised me with its mix of peaceful surroundings and strong connectivity. I searched for a home where I could build a small sound studio and eventually found one in Pai through https://thailand-real.estate/. The house was surrounded by mountains and rice fields—not exactly a typical workspace, but perfect for inspiration.
These days, I record ambient nature sounds for game environments, compose soundtracks, and work with teams worldwide—all from a quiet, open-air studio. The silence, the scenery, and the slower rhythm have completely transformed how I create.
