Custom Aluminum Stair Railing Order for Renovated Stairwells
t330-7

To order a custom aluminum stair railing, send photos and rough dimensions, arrange an on-site measurement, and approve a written drawing before production starts. The railing is then manufactured to measure in our Tel Aviv factory, finished, and installed in your renovated stairwell. Confirming the drawing and measurements early prevents most fit and timing problems.
Start with a clear inquiry
When you contact us, include photos of the stairwell from the bottom and top landings, the number of steps, and any existing wall or balustrade details. A short description of the renovation stage helps us understand whether the stair is already tiled, whether new treads are coming, and when the railing must be on site.
- Photos of both landings and the full flight
- Rough step count and stair width
- Desired finish color and infill style
On-site measurement comes before drawing
Measurements are taken on site because renovated stairwells rarely match the original plans. We check the actual rise and going of each step, wall-to-wall distances, and the height of the handrail above the nosing. Measuring after tiling and plastering is strongly recommended, since a few millimeters of finish can change the fit of the posts and brackets.
Review the drawing and specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing and written specification showing post positions, profile sizes, infill pattern, handrail type and fixing method. Please read it carefully and confirm each point in writing. Changes are far easier to make at this stage than after production has begun.
Aluminum production and finishing
Once you approve the drawing, the railing is cut, welded or assembled in our factory on Rival Street in Tel Aviv. Aluminum is chosen for its light weight and resistance to corrosion, which suits stairwells and exposed areas. Finishing is applied to protect the surface and match your building's style before delivery.
Installation in the renovated stairwell
Installation is planned around the completed finishes, so the crew arrives when the walls and steps are ready. Posts are fixed to the stair structure with the approved method, and the handrail is aligned for a smooth, continuous grip. We check that the assembly is secure and that the railing matches the drawing.
Safety and standards
Railing height, infill spacing and load requirements are governed in Israel by the railing standard SI 1142. We do not guess at exact values; the dimensions in your drawing are checked with the project engineer so the railing meets the requirements that apply to your building before production starts.
Frequently asked questions
How long before the renovation is finished should I order?
Contact us as soon as the stair layout is roughly known, so the drawing can be approved early. Ordering before the final finishes is possible, but on-site measurement should happen after tiling and plastering.
Do you measure on site or only from photos?
We measure on site, because photos cannot reliably show exact step dimensions and wall positions. Photos are useful for the first inquiry and for understanding the style you want.
Can I choose the infill pattern and handrail type?
Yes, the infill pattern, handrail profile and finish are chosen during the drawing stage. Your selections are written into the specification you approve.
Who checks that the railing meets safety requirements?
The required heights, spacing and loads are confirmed with the project engineer against the applicable standard, including SI 1142. Please share any engineer requirements with us before the drawing is approved.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering before the stairwell is finished and measuring from old plans leads to railings that do not fit. Approving a drawing without checking the handrail height and post positions is another common and costly error.
Our recommendation
Measure again after the final tiling and plastering, and approve the drawing in writing with the engineer's requirements included. This single step prevents most delays and rework during installation.
Summary
A custom aluminum stair railing is ordered through photos, on-site measurement, an approved drawing, factory production and professional installation. Measuring after the renovation finishes and confirming the drawing in writing keeps the project on schedule.
