Ordering a Custom Steel Staircase for Your Home in Israel
t381-4

To order a custom steel staircase, send us photos and basic dimensions of the space, then we measure on site and prepare a drawing and written specification for your approval. Once approved, the staircase is built to measure in our Tel Aviv factory, finished, and installed in your home.
Start with a clear request
The first step is a simple inquiry. Send photos of the stairwell or the area where the staircase will stand, along with the floor-to-floor height and the available width and length if you know them. Tell us how the staircase will be used, whether you want a straight run, a turn, or a spiral, and any style you have in mind.
You do not need technical drawings at this stage. Rough sketches and reference photos of designs you like are very helpful and help us understand your taste quickly.
On-site measurement
Once we review your inquiry, our team visits your home to measure the space accurately. Walls are rarely perfectly straight or level, so measuring on site is essential before any steel is cut.
- Floor-to-floor height at each landing
- Stairwell opening dimensions and wall conditions
- Access route for bringing steel pieces into the building
- Floor finish planned for the stairs
Drawing and written specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing showing the layout, steps, landings, handrail positions and connections to the floors or walls. The accompanying written specification lists the materials, profile sizes, tread type, surface finish and installation method.
Please read both documents carefully. This is the stage where you can request changes to the design, the finish or the handrail, before production begins.
Approval and production
Your approval of the drawing and specification is the trigger for production. Once you confirm in writing, the steel is cut, welded and assembled in our factory at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv, which has worked in metal since 1945.
Building the staircase in the workshop lets us control quality, fit and finish far more precisely than working in a crowded home. Any structural details are checked against the relevant standards with the engineer where required.
Finishing the steel
For durability, steel staircases are commonly finished with hot-dip galvanizing followed by powder coating, or with other protective coatings suited to the environment. The finish affects both appearance and how well the staircase resists weather and wear over time.
Tell us the colour you prefer and whether the staircase is indoors or in a semi-open area, since this helps us recommend the right finish.
Installation in your home
Our team delivers the staircase and installs it in your home. We plan the handling route in advance so that pieces reach their position without damaging walls, doors or floors. Anchoring is fitted to the actual structure of your building.
After installation we check levelness, fixings and handrail height together, so the staircase is ready to use as soon as the work is complete.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the whole process take?
Timing depends on the complexity of the design and the current production schedule. We confirm the expected timeline when the drawing and specification are approved.
Do I need an engineer or architect first?
Not always, but structural details should be confirmed with a qualified engineer, especially when the staircase connects to an existing slab or wall. We can coordinate this with your architect or contractor.
Can I change the design after approving the drawing?
Changes are possible before production starts, but they may affect the price and schedule. Once steel is cut and assembled, changes become much harder, so review the drawing carefully.
Do you work with contractors and interior designers too?
Yes. We work with private homeowners, contractors, architects and interior designers, and can share drawings and specifications directly with your project team.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering a staircase from photos alone, or approving a drawing without checking the exact height and handrail positions, often leads to fitting problems. Always confirm measurements on site before production.
Our recommendation
Measure the floor-to-floor height at each landing yourself and note any obstacles like doors or windows near the stairs. Having these details ready speeds up the quotation and avoids surprises during installation.
Summary
Ordering a custom steel staircase is a clear process: inquiry, on-site measurement, drawing, approval, factory production and installation. Careful measuring and reviewing the drawing before approval are the keys to a good result.
