Request a Glass Balcony Railing Quote for Your Building
t344-44

To get a glass balcony railing quote for a full building replacement, send photos and the number of balconies to Techno Kol Uzi. We visit for on-site measurement, then provide a drawn and written specification for your approval before production starts.
What to Prepare Before You Ask for a Quote
A clear request makes the quote faster and more accurate. Gather a few photos of each balcony type, the building's elevation, and a rough count of balconies that need work. Note whether the existing railings are iron, aluminum or concrete, and whether the replacement will be fixed to the slab, the edge, or the floor.
- Photos of every balcony type from outside and inside
- Number of units and balcony floors involved
- Current railing material and any damage you have noticed
- Preferred glass finish, handrail style and colour
If your building committee has a decision date, mention it so we can plan the site visit around it.
How the On-Site Measurement Works
Accurate measurement is the foundation of a good glass railing. Our team visits the building, checks each balcony edge, slab level, wall condition and the height of the fixing points. We record every dimension on site rather than relying on the architectural plans, because older buildings often differ from their drawings.
Measurements are taken per balcony, so unusual corners, recesses and uneven edges are captured before fabrication begins.
Drawings and Written Specification
After measurement, we prepare a drawing and a written specification for each balcony type. These documents describe the glass build-up, the profile and fixing method, the handrail, and the finish. For load and height requirements we follow the Israeli railing standard SI 1142 in general terms, and the exact values are confirmed with your structural or safety engineer before anything is ordered.
Building committees can review the drawings together and request changes at this stage, which is far cheaper than changing finished work.
Approval and Production Timeline
Nothing goes into production until you approve the drawing and specification in writing. Once approved, the glass, stainless steel or aluminum components are cut and assembled in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Factory production lets us control tolerances closely and keep the work consistent across every floor.
Ask for a schedule that matches your resident planning, so that units can be phased if needed.
Finishing and Installation
Metal components receive the finish agreed in the specification, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, before they leave the workshop. Glass panels are delivered and fitted to the approved fixing system. Installation is planned floor by floor to limit disruption to residents, and we confirm each balcony against the drawing before moving on.
Keep the approved specification with your building records for future maintenance.
Comparing Quotes Fairly
When you compare quotes from different suppliers, make sure they cover the same scope. Check whether the quote includes on-site measurement, drawings, approval rounds, finishing, installation and handover. A low figure that leaves out these steps often costs more later.
- Same glass type and thickness described
- Same handrail and fixing method
- Same finish and installation scope
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an engineer before ordering glass railings?
Yes, it is wise to have your structural or safety engineer confirm height, fixing and load requirements. We follow the Israeli standard SI 1142 in general and check exact values with the engineer.
Can you measure all balconies in one visit?
Often yes for buildings with similar balconies, but larger or varied buildings may need more than one visit. We will plan the visits with you when we know the scope.
Will the drawings be sent for approval before production?
Yes. Every drawing and written specification is submitted for your approval, and production only starts after you confirm in writing.
Do you install the railings yourselves?
Our scope includes finishing and installation as agreed in the quote, so the building receives a complete, approved result.
Common mistakes to avoid
Avoid comparing quotes that describe different glass types, fixing methods or finishes, and do not skip the on-site measurement. Both lead to surprises during installation.
Our recommendation
Ask every supplier for a drawing and written specification before you approve anything, and involve your engineer early. Approving the details on paper saves time and disputes once the work is underway.
Summary
Prepare photos and a balcony count, get on-site measurement, approve a drawn specification, and compare quotes on the same scope.
