Window Bar Installation: From Measurement to Mounting

t265-7

t265-7

Window bar installation is a custom process: you send photos, we measure the opening on site, prepare a drawing and written specification, then manufacture the bars in our Tel Aviv factory and install them. Each step is approved by you before production begins, so the bars fit your window exactly.

Step 1: Inquiry and Photos

The process starts with a simple inquiry. Send us photos of the windows or balconies where you want security bars, along with a rough description of the openings and the style you prefer. Photos from both inside and outside help us understand the frame type, the wall material and any obstacles such as air conditioners, shutters or handles.

At this stage we can also tell you which options suit your building and your needs, whether that is a classic vertical pattern, a more decorative design or a bar that matches an existing railing.

Step 2: On-Site Measurement

A member of our team visits the property to measure each opening. We check the width and height at several points, because walls and frames are rarely perfectly square. We also note the depth available for fixing, the type of surface and the position of the window hardware.

  • Opening dimensions at top, middle and bottom
  • Fixing surface and wall condition
  • Position of handles, hinges and sills

Accurate measurement is the foundation of a good result, so we take our time on this step.

Step 3: Drawing and Specification

After the measurement we prepare a drawing that shows the layout, bar spacing, design and fixing points. It is accompanied by a written specification listing the materials, profiles and finish. You can review the drawing and request changes before anything is manufactured.

For structural or safety questions, such as the load the fixing must carry, our engineer confirms the details. We do not guess at technical values; they are checked against the applicable standards for your case.

Step 4: Approval and Factory Production

Once you approve the drawing and specification in writing, production begins in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Iron and aluminum profiles are cut, welded and assembled to the measured dimensions. Working in our own workshop allows us to check every piece for accuracy before it leaves.

Because each order is made to measure, the timeline depends on the number of openings and the complexity of the design, and we keep you informed throughout.

Step 5: Finishing

Finishing protects the bars against weather and time. Iron elements are typically hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance and then powder coated in the color you choose. Aluminum can be finished in matching tones to suit your windows and facade.

Finishing is done before installation so the bars arrive at your home clean, uniform and ready to mount.

Step 6: Installation and Final Check

Our team installs the bars at your property, fixing them securely to the wall or frame and checking that each one sits level, plumb and firmly in place. We confirm that the bars open or release as planned where a quick-release function is included, so emergency exit is never compromised.

Once everything is checked together with you, the installation is complete and the bars are ready for daily use.

Frequently asked questions

How long does window bar installation take?

The timeline depends on the number of openings and the design chosen. We confirm the schedule after the measurement and approval steps so you know what to expect.

Do I need to be home for the measurement?

It is helpful if you or a representative can be present so we can check access points, obstacles and your preferences on site.

Can I change the design after seeing the drawing?

Yes. The drawing is shared before production so you can request changes. Production starts only after you approve the final version in writing.

Will the bars fit an existing window frame?

We design around your existing frame and fixing surface during measurement, so the bars are made to fit the actual opening rather than a standard size.

Common mistakes to avoid

Ordering from rough estimates without an on-site measurement, or approving a drawing without checking fixing points and emergency release, often leads to bars that do not fit or cannot be safely used.

Our recommendation

Share clear photos from inside and outside, mention any shutters or air conditioners, and review the drawing carefully before approving so changes are made before production rather than after.

Summary

Window bar installation at Techno Kol Uzi follows a clear path: inquiry, measurement, drawing, approval, factory production, finishing and professional mounting. Every step is made to measure and checked with you.
