Glass Gate Panel Replacement for Homes and Yards
t271-45

Glass gate panel replacement means measuring the existing opening, choosing a suitable glass type and frame finish, and having a new panel made to fit. At Techno Kol Uzi in Tel Aviv, we measure on site, prepare a written specification, and ask you to approve it before production. Send us photos and the approximate size to start the process.
When a Glass Gate Panel Needs Replacing
A glass gate panel may need replacing after cracks, chips along the edge, clouding of the surface, or a frame that has bent and no longer holds the glass straight. Small surface marks can sometimes be polished, but cracked or loose glass should be replaced for safety.
- Visible cracks or chips at the edges
- Seal or gasket that has dried out or separated
- Frame bent or out of square
- Glass that rattles or moves in the frame
If the frame itself is sound, only the panel may need to be made again.
Choosing the Right Glass for a Gate
Glass in a gate is used differently from glass in a window, because it is exposed to wind, impact and daily opening and closing. Ask for toughened or laminated glass where safety matters, especially near children or pets. The thickness should suit the panel size and the weight of the gate.
Tinted, frosted or patterned glass can give privacy while still letting light through. We will explain the options during the site visit so you can see how each one looks in your setting.
Frame Materials and Finishes
The frame around the glass is usually steel or aluminum. Steel gives strength for heavier gates, while aluminum is lighter and does not rust. Finishes affect both appearance and durability.
- Hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection on steel
- Powder coating in a color matched to your fence and house
- Stainless steel details for a clean, modern look
Tell us the color and style of the existing gate so the new panel blends in.
How Custom Sizing Works
Gate openings are rarely standard, so each replacement panel is made to measure. Our technician visits the site, measures the opening at several points, and checks whether the posts are straight. Any irregularity is noted so the panel is made to fit the real opening rather than a drawing.
We then prepare a drawing and a written specification with the glass type, frame profile and finish. You review and approve it before production begins, which avoids surprises at installation.
From Approval to Installation
Once you approve the specification, the panel is produced in our factory at Rival Street 37 in Tel Aviv. The frame is cut, welded and finished, and the glass is fitted and sealed. Finishing is done in our workshop so the coating is even and protected.
On installation day we fit the panel to the hinges and latch, check that it swings freely and closes properly, and adjust as needed. Please keep the old panel dimensions and any photos of the gate ready for the first contact.
Requesting Information About Replacement
To receive an accurate proposal, send us a few clear photos of the gate from the front and the damaged area, plus the approximate width and height if you know them. Tell us whether the gate is for a private home, a building entrance or a yard, since this affects the glass type and frame recommended.
We will reply with the questions we need answered and arrange a site measurement. Pricing is provided in writing after measurement, based on the final specification.
Frequently asked questions
Can you replace only the glass and keep the existing frame?
Sometimes, if the frame is straight, strong and the right size for new glass. We check this during the site visit and tell you whether the frame can be reused.
Is toughened glass safer for a gate?
Toughened and laminated glass are generally chosen for gates because they are more resistant to impact. We recommend the type that suits your location and use.
How do I know which finish to choose?
Galvanizing and powder coating both protect the metal, and the color should match your existing fence and house. We can show you options to help decide.
Do I need to be home for the measurement?
It helps to be present so we can discuss the options and confirm the gate's position, but we can plan the visit around your schedule.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering a panel from a single rough measurement is a common error, since uneven posts can make a standard size fail. Choosing glass without considering safety or the gate's weight also causes early problems.
Our recommendation
Have the opening measured on site at several points before ordering, and ask for a written specification showing glass type and finish. Approving the drawing first is the simplest way to get a panel that fits and lasts.
Summary
Glass gate panel replacement works best when the opening is measured on site, the glass and finish suit the gate's use, and the specification is approved before production.
