Ordering Your Electric Gate: Steps From Inquiry to Delivery
t287-48

To order an electric gate, you start with an inquiry including photos and a rough description of the opening, then we measure on site and prepare a drawing and written specification for your approval. Once approved, the gate is made to measure in our Tel Aviv factory, finished, and installed. Following these steps keeps the process clear and avoids surprises.
Step 1: Send Your Inquiry
The first step is a simple inquiry. Send us photos of the gate location, the wall or fence it will attach to, and any existing posts or driveway. Tell us whether you prefer a sliding gate or a swing gate, and whether the property has space for a sliding track.
Also mention how the gate will be used. A family car, a commercial lot, or a shared building entrance each have different needs for width, weight and motor strength. The more detail you give at this stage, the more accurate our first assessment will be.
Step 2: On-Site Measurement
Once we review your inquiry, we arrange an on-site measurement. Our team checks the exact opening width, the ground levels, the slope of the driveway and the condition of the existing structure. Small differences in ground level can change how the gate runs, so this visit matters.
Please keep the area accessible and let us know about any underground utilities or cables we should be aware of before anything is fixed in place.
Step 3: Drawing and Written Specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing and a written specification. The drawing shows the gate dimensions, the frame layout and where the motor and controls will sit. The specification lists materials, the type of motor, finishing and installation details.
- Gate type and overall dimensions
- Frame and infill design
- Motor and control arrangement
- Finish and installation notes
Read both documents carefully before approving.
Step 4: Client Approval
We do not start production until you approve the drawing and specification in writing. This is your chance to request changes to the design, the height, the color or the motor type. Any change made at this stage is quick and simple.
Once approved, the project is locked in for production, so please double-check measurements and details before you confirm.
Step 5: Factory Production and Finishing
The gate is built in our factory at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv, where cutting, welding and assembly are carried out to your measurements. Structural parts are then finished, typically with hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection, followed by powder coating for the final color and look.
Finishing takes time because the coatings need to cure properly. We keep you informed about the production stage so you know when to expect delivery.
Step 6: Installation and Handover
Installation is carried out by our team. We set the posts or track, fit the gate, mount the motor and connect the controls, then test the movement, safety features and remote operation with you present.
Before handover we walk through how the gate works and how to use it safely. Ask us any questions about daily operation so you feel confident with the system.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to order an electric gate from start to finish?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the design, the finish chosen and the current production schedule. We confirm an expected timeline when the drawing is approved.
Do I need to be home for the on-site measurement?
It is helpful if you or a representative are present so we can discuss options and access points. Let us know in advance if someone else will be there.
Can I change the design after approving the drawing?
Changes are possible before production starts, so ask us early. Once manufacturing begins, changes may affect the schedule and are reviewed case by case.
Is a sliding gate or a swing gate better for my property?
It depends on available space and the slope of the driveway. Sliding gates need clear space along the wall, while swing gates need room to open, and we advise on the best fit after measuring.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most common mistake is approving a drawing without checking the exact dimensions and the space the gate needs to open or slide. Another is skipping details about the driveway slope and existing utilities, which can cause delays during installation.
Our recommendation
Before you approve, walk the full path the gate will take and confirm clearances on both sides. Mark the opening with tape or stakes so you can see the real size before production starts.
Summary
Ordering an electric gate follows six clear steps: inquiry, on-site measurement, drawing and specification, your approval, factory production with finishing, and installation. Taking time at the approval stage makes the whole process smoother.
