Requesting a Handrail Quote for Your Project

t363-34

t363-34

A handrail quote request starts with a short inquiry that includes photos and basic dimensions of your staircase or balcony. We then measure on site, prepare a drawing and a written specification, and send it to you for approval before production begins.

What to Include in Your Inquiry

A good inquiry saves time for both sides. Start with clear photos of the area where the handrail will go, taken from a few angles so we can see the wall, floor, and any existing railing.

Add the basic details you already know:

  • Type of space: indoor staircase, outdoor stairs, balcony, or ramp
  • Approximate length and number of steps or sections
  • Preferred material: iron, stainless steel, aluminum, or glass infill
  • Preferred finish, such as powder coating or a steel-look finish

If you have architectural drawings, include them. Rough sketches with measurements are also welcome.

How the On-Site Measurement Works

Once we review your inquiry, we arrange a visit to measure the space. We check the exact height, the wall or floor fixing points, and the slope or curve of the staircase. Small details, such as an uneven floor or a wall that is not straight, affect how the handrail must be built, so we record them carefully.

Bring the person who will make decisions about the design, so questions can be answered during the visit.

Drawing and Written Specification

After measuring, we prepare a drawing and a written specification. The drawing shows the handrail shape, fixing method, and key dimensions. The specification lists the material, profile, finish, and installation method.

Read both documents carefully. This is the moment to request changes, because it is much easier to adjust a drawing than a finished railing.

Approval Before Production

We send the drawing and specification for your written approval. Production does not start until you confirm. This step protects you from misunderstandings about size, finish, or design.

If you are a building committee, contractor, architect, or interior designer, you can approve on behalf of the client. Just confirm who has the authority to sign off.

Production and Finishing in Our Factory

Each handrail is made to measure in our factory on Rival Street in Tel Aviv. Parts are cut, shaped, and welded by hand where needed, then checked against the approved drawing.

Finishing depends on your choice and the environment. Outdoor railings are commonly hot-dip galvanized and then powder coated for protection. Indoor pieces may be finished in a lighter coating. We will explain the best option for your location during the specification stage.

Installation and Safety Checks

Installation is the final stage. We fix the handrail securely to the wall, floor, or structure and check that it is firm and level. Handrail height, grip size, and fixing strength should follow the Israeli railing standard SI 1142. For exact values, we check the details with your engineer before installation.

After installation, we walk through the finished railing with you to confirm everything matches the approved specification.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need drawings to request a handrail quote?

No. Clear photos and rough measurements are enough to start. We take exact measurements on site before preparing the final drawing.

How long does the process take from inquiry to installation?

The timeline depends on the size of the project, the material, and the current workload. We confirm the schedule with you once the specification is approved.

Can I change the design after approving the drawing?

Changes are possible before production starts, but they may affect the schedule and the specification. Please raise any concerns before you sign off.

Do you work with contractors and architects as well as homeowners?

Yes. We work with private homeowners, building committees, contractors, architects, and interior designers, and we can coordinate directly with the professional in charge of your project.

Common mistakes to avoid

Sending only one blurry photo or skipping the approval step can lead to a railing that does not fit the space or match what you expected. Always check the drawing and specification carefully before approving.

Our recommendation

Measure the length and height of your staircase or balcony before you send the inquiry, and note any wall or floor conditions that may affect fixing. Clear information at the start makes the on-site visit faster and the final specification more accurate.

Summary

Send photos and basic dimensions, let us measure on site, review the drawing and specification, approve it, and we will produce and install your custom handrail.
