Steel Pallet Racking Designed Around Your Warehouse Layout
t482-20

Custom steel pallet racking is designed around your actual building: column spacing, ceiling height, aisle widths, forklift type and the weight of your pallets. Instead of fitting your goods to standard shelving, the racking is drawn and produced to match your space, which usually means more usable storage per square meter.
Why standard racking often wastes space
Off-the-shelf racking comes in fixed bay widths and heights. When those sizes do not match your building, you end up with gaps at the wall, unused height above the top beam, or aisles that are wider than your forklifts need. Each small mismatch costs pallet positions.
Logistics managers who want higher storage density usually start by measuring the wasted space in their current layout. Often the answer is not more racks but racks that are sized correctly.
What we measure on site
Before any drawing starts, our team visits the warehouse and records the details that shape the design:
- Clear height from floor to ceiling, sprinkler and light fixture positions included
- Column positions, wall offsets and floor condition
- Aisle widths and the turning radius of your forklifts
- Pallet dimensions, typical loads and the weight per level
- Door and dock locations that affect traffic flow
From sketch to written specification
Using the measurements, we prepare a drawing that shows bay layout, number of levels, beam heights and frame depth. A written specification accompanies the drawing and lists materials, load assumptions and finishing. You review both and approve them before production begins.
Load capacity and structural details are confirmed with the engineer. We do not guess at load values, so every design is checked against the loads you actually plan to store.
Production in our Tel Aviv factory
The steel frames and beams are cut, drilled and welded in our workshop at 37 Rival Street, where the same team has been working metal since 1945. Working in the factory rather than on site lets us control tolerances, so the frames fit your floor and wall conditions when they arrive.
Each component is labeled according to its position in the layout, which makes installation faster and reduces errors on the warehouse floor.
Finishing for a warehouse environment
Racking is exposed to moisture, forklift contact and daily wear, so finishing matters. Hot-dip galvanizing gives strong corrosion protection for damp or unheated storage, and powder coating is a practical choice when you want a cleaner look and good scratch resistance.
We recommend the finish based on your storage conditions, not just appearance, and explain the trade-offs before you decide.
Installation and planning for future changes
Installation is carried out by our team after the racks are delivered. We plan the sequence so that storage can keep running in the sections not yet being worked on, where the layout allows.
If your product mix will change, we can design the bays with adjustable beam heights, so the racking can adapt without a full rebuild.
Frequently asked questions
How do you decide the bay width for my racking?
Bay width is set by your pallet dimensions, the number of pallets per bay and the spacing your forklifts need. We calculate it from your measurements rather than choosing a standard size.
Do I need to send drawings of my warehouse before the visit?
Helpful but not required. Photos and any existing plans speed up the first discussion, and we confirm all dimensions on site before drawing the design.
Can custom racking be added to an existing warehouse?
Yes, in many cases. We assess the existing floor, columns and clear height first, then design new racking that works with the current building.
How do you confirm the racking is strong enough?
We confirm structural details and load assumptions with the engineer. Your planned loads per level are part of the specification you approve before production.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering racking based only on the pallet size, without measuring ceiling height, column positions and aisle widths. These details decide how many positions you actually gain.
Our recommendation
Measure your forklift turning radius and clear height before anything else, then design the layout around them. A few centimeters of correct aisle width often gives more storage than adding another bay.
Summary
Custom steel pallet racking is measured, drawn and produced around your warehouse, so every meter of space works for your storage plan.
