Submit Balcony Railing Drawings for Approval: A Clear Process
t320-33

To get balcony railing drawings approved, send us your photos and a rough sketch, then we measure on site and prepare a drawing with a written specification. You confirm the drawing and specification in writing, and only then does production begin in our Tel Aviv factory.
What to Send Us First
Start with a few clear photos of the balcony, taken straight on and from the side. Add a simple sketch showing the length of each edge, the height of the wall or slab, and where the railing will be fixed. If the building has a committee, note whether it has rules about colour, height or design.
- Photos of the full balcony and the fixing points
- A rough sketch with approximate dimensions
- Any building committee guidelines you have received
This first package lets us understand the project before we visit.
On-Site Measurement
Our team visits the balcony to take exact measurements. We check the length of every run, the corners, the slope of the floor, the condition of the wall or slab, and how the railing will be anchored. Measurements taken on site are far more reliable than estimates from photos, so this step is essential.
We also record any obstacles such as pipes, air-conditioning units or window frames that may affect the design.
Drawing and Written Specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing that shows the railing layout, the height, the infill pattern and the fixing method. Alongside it, we write a specification covering the materials, the finish, and the connection details. The finish options include hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating, which we explain so you can choose what suits your balcony.
Where safety requirements apply, we note that the railing is designed to meet the Israeli railing standard SI 1142. Exact technical values are checked with the responsible engineer rather than assumed.
Your Approval Step
Please review the drawing and the specification carefully. Check the dimensions, the height, the pattern, the colour and the placement of any gates or posts. If something is not right, tell us and we will revise the drawing before anything is produced.
- Confirm the dimensions match your balcony
- Check the design and finish
- Approve in writing, by message or signed copy
Production only starts after your written approval, so changes are cheap at this stage.
Production in Our Factory
Once approved, the railing is manufactured to measure in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. We have worked in iron and steel since 1945, and the work is carried out by the family team that has run the workshop for three generations. Each section is cut, welded and checked against the approved drawing.
After fabrication, the parts go through the chosen finish, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, before they are packed for installation.
Installation and Final Check
Our installers fit the railing on your balcony according to the approved drawing. We fix each section securely, check alignment and levels, and make sure gates open and close smoothly. Before we leave, we walk the railing with you and confirm that everything matches what was agreed.
If a building committee needs to see the final result, we can help you document it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay anything before I approve the drawing?
Please contact us directly for information about the commercial terms of your project. Approval of the drawing itself does not commit you to a specific production start date until we agree on the next steps.
Can I change the design after I approve the drawing?
Changes are possible, but they are easiest before production begins. Once the railing has been fabricated, a change may require new work, so we recommend reviewing the drawing carefully first.
Do you need the building committee's approval too?
In many buildings the committee must approve external changes. We can provide the drawing and specification to help you submit the request, but the final decision rests with the committee.
How do I start the process?
Send us photos of the balcony and a rough sketch with approximate dimensions. We will then arrange an on-site measurement and prepare the drawing for your review.
Common mistakes to avoid
Approving a drawing without checking the dimensions against your actual balcony is the most common error, and it can lead to a railing that does not fit. Also avoid relying only on photos for measurements, since small differences in length or corners can cause problems later.
Our recommendation
Measure your balcony yourself as a cross-check before we visit, and mark any obstacles on the sketch. Give your approval in writing so the agreed version is clear for both sides.
Summary
A clear process of photos, on-site measurement, drawing, written approval, factory production and installation keeps your balcony railing project accurate and on schedule.
