Balcony Railing Site Measurement Request: How It Works
t320-31

To request a balcony railing site measurement, send us photos and a short description of your balcony, then we arrange an on-site visit. Our team measures, checks the structure, and agrees the design with you before production starts.
Why an On-Site Measurement Matters
A balcony railing is only as good as the measurements behind it. Walls are rarely perfectly straight, floors can slope, and older buildings often differ from their original plans. Measuring on site lets us capture the real conditions instead of relying on estimates.
Because every railing is made to measure, accurate data protects you from ordering something that does not fit. A proper visit also helps us spot anchoring points and surface conditions early, before any material is cut.
What to Prepare Before You Request a Visit
Having a few details ready makes the first conversation faster and the visit more useful. Please gather the following before you contact us:
- Clear photos of the balcony from the outside and inside
- An approximate length and height of each railing section
- Notes on the balcony floor, ceiling and wall finishes
- Your preferred style, such as vertical bars, glass or mixed infill
- Any access restrictions, parking or building committee rules
What Happens During the Site Visit
During the visit, our technician measures every span, checks the height from the floor, and confirms the fixing surfaces. We note the condition of the concrete or existing supports and look for anything that could affect installation or safety.
We also discuss design options with you on site. Seeing the balcony in person helps us suggest proportions, spacing and finishes that suit the building and the view. You receive a clear record of what was measured.
From Measurements to Drawing and Written Specification
After the visit, we prepare a drawing and a written specification that lists materials, dimensions, fixing method and finish. Nothing goes into production until you have reviewed and approved both documents.
Please check the drawing carefully and ask questions about anything unclear. Changes are much easier to make at this stage than after fabrication has started.
Production and Finishing in Our Factory
Once approved, the railing is manufactured in our workshop at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv, where we have worked in metal since 1945. Steel parts are cut, welded and checked against the drawing before they leave the factory.
For outdoor balconies, finishing matters. Components are typically hot-dip galvanized and powder coated, which helps protect the metal from weather and keeps the look consistent over time.
Installation and Final Check
Our installation team fixes the railing to the balcony according to the approved specification. We confirm alignment, fixing strength and height before finishing the job, and we check that the railing meets the relevant Israeli standard SI 1142 in general terms. For exact requirements, the final values are verified with the engineer.
After installation, we walk through the railing with you so you know how it was fixed and how to care for the finish.
Frequently asked questions
Is the site measurement visit free?
Please contact us directly to confirm the arrangements for your visit. Our team will explain what the visit includes when you get in touch.
What photos should I send before the visit?
Send photos of the whole balcony, the railing area from the outside and inside, and any fixing points or existing railings. Wide shots help us understand the layout and nearby structure.
Can I change the design after the drawing is approved?
Changes are possible before production begins, but they may affect the timeline and scope. Once fabrication starts, changes become more difficult, so review the drawing carefully.
Do you install the railing as well?
Yes, our installation team fixes the railing to the balcony according to the approved specification, and we check alignment and fixing before completing the job.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most common mistake is measuring the balcony yourself and assuming the walls and floor are level. Small differences add up, so let our technician verify the real conditions on site.
Our recommendation
Be present during the visit if you can, and ask the technician to show you each measurement point. Having the design and fixing details confirmed in writing before production saves time and avoids surprises.
Summary
Request a balcony railing site measurement by sending photos and details, then we measure on site, agree a drawing and specification, and produce and install your railing.
