Custom Iron Balcony Screen Orders with Pre-Measured Drawings
t260-15

To order a custom iron balcony screen with pre-measured drawings, send photos of your balcony, then have the openings measured on site and receive a written drawing and specification for your approval before production starts. Once you approve the drawing, the screen is made to measure in our Tel Aviv factory, finished and then installed.
Start with photos and a clear brief
The first step is a short inquiry with photos of the balcony or window, taken straight on and from a slight angle so the surroundings are visible. Note what you want the screen to do: security, privacy, airflow, a decorative pattern, or a combination. Tell us whether the balcony faces the street, a courtyard, or a neighbor's window, since that affects the design.
- Photos of the opening and the wall around it
- Rough height and width if you know them
- Preferred style, such as simple vertical bars or a pattern
A clear brief saves time in the drawing stage.
On-site measurement before drawing
Once the inquiry is reviewed, we visit the site to measure each opening ourselves. Measurements are taken at several points, because walls and floors are rarely perfectly straight or level. We check the depth of the reveal, the fixing surface, and any obstacles such as air conditioning units, pipes, or window handles that may affect the frame.
Pre-measured drawings are only as good as the measurements behind them, so this visit is the foundation of a good order.
The pre-measured drawing and specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing showing the exact dimensions, bar spacing, frame layout, and fixing points. A written specification accompanies it, listing the material (iron or aluminum), the finish, and the way the screen opens if it has a door or hinged section.
Read the drawing carefully. Check every dimension against what you see on the balcony and ask about anything unclear. Changes are far easier to make at this stage than after production.
Approving the design
Your written approval of the drawing and specification is what moves the order into production. Once approved, the design is fixed, so confirm the bar pattern, the position of any door, and the colour before you sign off.
- Dimensions match your measurements
- Bar spacing meets your safety and comfort needs
- Finish and colour are confirmed
Production and finishing in the factory
The screen is fabricated in our factory on Rival Street in Tel Aviv, cut and welded to the approved drawing. Iron parts are finished with hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection and then powder coated in the colour you chose. Aluminum parts receive the finish specified in the order. Because each piece is made to measure, we check fit during production rather than relying on standard sizes.
Installation and a final check
On installation day, the screen is fixed to the wall or frame using the method agreed in the specification. After fitting, we check that the screen sits square, that doors open and close smoothly, and that the fixings are secure. Ask for a walk-through so you understand how any door or lock works before we leave.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be home for the measurement visit?
It is helpful if you or someone who can make decisions is present. Being there lets us check the balcony layout and discuss your preferences on the spot.
Can I change the design after I approve the drawing?
Changes are possible before production, but they may require a revised drawing. Changes after fabrication are much harder and more costly, so review the drawing carefully before approving it.
Is the screen the same as a standard off-the-shelf product?
No. Each screen is made to measure from your pre-measured drawing, so it fits your specific opening rather than a standard size.
Which material should I choose, iron or aluminum?
Iron is strong and suits security screens well, especially with galvanizing and powder coating. Aluminum is lighter and does not rust, so the right choice depends on the look and load you need.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most common mistake is approving a drawing without checking every dimension against the actual balcony. Measure again yourself before you sign, because a small error can prevent the screen from fitting.
Our recommendation
Take your own photos and note the measurements of the reveal before the visit, and ask us to confirm the fixing method for your wall type. This helps us produce a drawing that fits the first time.
Summary
A custom iron balcony screen is ordered through photos, an on-site measurement, a pre-measured drawing, your written approval, factory production and professional installation.
