Glass Stair Railings Built to Match Your Staircase Layout
t349-4

A custom glass stair railing is designed around your actual staircase: its angle, turns, landings and wall conditions. We measure on site, draw the panels to fit, and manufacture them in our Tel Aviv factory so they sit flush and look like part of the stairs.
Why a Custom Glass Railing Fits Better Than Off-the-Shelf
Every staircase has its own quirks. Walls are rarely perfectly straight, floors are not always level, and stair treads can vary by a few millimeters from top to bottom. A standard railing kit forces the staircase to match the product. A custom glass railing does the opposite: the glass panels, posts and handrail are sized to your stairs, so the lines run cleanly and the gaps stay even.
The result is a railing that looks intentional. Glass keeps sight lines open, which suits interiors where light and space matter, and a tailored layout avoids awkward offcuts or visible patch-ups.
How We Measure Your Staircase on Site
Accurate measurement is the foundation of the whole project. Our team visits your home, records each step's rise and run, checks the wall line along the stairs and notes any landings, turns or openings. We also look at how the railing will meet the floor, the wall and the upper level.
- Stair angle and step dimensions
- Wall alignment and any bulges or recesses
- Landings, turns and the top connection
- Fixing method: floor, step edge or wall mount
These readings go straight into the drawing, so nothing is guessed.
From Drawing to Written Specification
Once the measurements are in, we prepare a drawing that shows each glass panel, post and handrail section, with dimensions. A written specification accompanies it, describing the glass type, edge finish, handrail profile, fixing details and finish. You review both before anything is produced, so you know exactly what you are approving.
If something in the drawing does not match what you imagined, this is the moment to change it. Adjusting a drawing costs far less time than correcting a finished panel.
Manufacturing in Our Tel Aviv Workshop
After your approval, the steel supports, posts and handrail are cut and welded in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. The glass is ordered to the exact sizes from the drawing and the edges are finished to suit the chosen fixing system. Working in one workshop means the metalwork and the glass arrive matched to the same plan, which reduces surprises on installation day.
Where the railing will be exposed to moisture, we select finishes suited to the application and explain the options before production starts.
Choosing the Right Glass and Fixing for Your Stairs
Glass railings can be fixed in several ways, and the best choice depends on your stairs and walls. Some homeowners prefer a frameless look with a slim top rail, others want a more structural profile for a heavier handrail. We discuss the options and their trade-offs during the planning stage.
- Frameless glass with a top handrail
- Glass set into a slim metal channel
- Post-supported panels for open or wide spans
Safety requirements for railings in Israel follow standard SI 1142. Exact dimensions and loads are checked with the engineer for your specific project.
Installation and Final Check
Installation is carried out with the measurements and drawing in hand. Posts are fixed first, then the glass panels are set, followed by the handrail. Each panel is checked for level and alignment before the next is fitted, so the finished run is straight and secure.
Once everything is in place, we walk the full length of the staircase with you, check fixings and finishes, and make sure the railing feels solid when you hold it.
Frequently asked questions
Can a glass railing be made for a curved or spiral staircase?
Yes. Curved and spiral stairs are measured point by point, and the glass panels and handrail are shaped to follow the actual curve. This takes more careful measurement than a straight run.
Do I need to be home during the measurement visit?
It helps to be there so you can point out how you plan to use the stairs and where the railing should start and end. It also lets us discuss the look you want on the spot.
Can the railing match the other metalwork in my home?
Yes. Handrail profile, finish and color can be coordinated with existing iron, aluminum or steel elements so the staircase fits the rest of the interior.
How do I know the drawing is right before production?
You receive a drawing and a written specification to review and approve. Production starts only after your written approval, so you can request changes before anything is made.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering a railing from a generic measurement instead of your actual stairs, or skipping the drawing review, often leads to gaps, mismatched lines and costly rework. Always confirm the layout on site before approving.
Our recommendation
Measure your staircase after the walls and floors are finished, or allow for their final position, because even a few millimeters of change can affect glass panel fit. Ask for a drawing showing every panel before you approve.
Summary
A custom glass stair railing is measured to your staircase, drawn for approval, made in our Tel Aviv factory and installed to fit your layout precisely.
