Handrail Sample Approval Before Full Production
t362-35

Before full production, Techno Kol Uzi makes a finish sample of your handrail so you can check the profile, color, and finish in real light. Production starts only after you approve the sample and the written specification in writing. This prevents costly changes once the handrails are already galvanized or powder coated.
Why a handrail sample comes first
A handrail looks different on a screen, on a sheet of paper, and on a real staircase. Color, sheen, and the feel of the finish all change with the light and the surface behind it. A physical sample lets you judge these details before anything is produced in quantity.
The sample also confirms the profile, the diameter, and how the handrail joins the wall brackets or glass clamps. Catching a mismatch at this stage is far easier than correcting a full batch.
Measurement and drawing
The process begins with an inquiry, usually with photos of the staircase or balcony. Our team then visits the site to measure the run, the height, the wall or glass details, and any existing elements the new handrail must match.
From these measurements we prepare a drawing and a written specification covering the material, profile, finish, fixings, and installation method. Please review both carefully, since they become the reference for the sample.
Making the finish sample
Once the drawing is agreed, we produce a short sample section in the same material and finish planned for the full order. Where relevant, the sample goes through the same hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating step as the production run.
- Same material and profile as the final order
- Same finish and color code
- Labeled with the project reference
Your review and approval
Look at the sample in daylight and, if possible, in the place where the handrail will be installed. Check the color, the surface texture, the edge finish, and how the sample sits in your hand. Compare it with any reference you have chosen.
If something needs adjusting, tell us exactly what, such as a shade lighter or a different profile size. Approval should be given in writing, by message or signed drawing, so both sides work from the same version.
Full production
After written approval, the handrails are cut, welded, and finished in the factory to the approved specification. Production follows the sample you signed off, so the finished handrails match what you have already seen.
Any change requested after approval may affect the schedule and may need a new sample, so it is best to settle every detail at this stage.
Installation and final check
Our installers fix the handrails to the wall, steps, or glass as detailed in the specification. Where the design calls for it, we check the height and fixing points against the relevant Israeli railing standard, SI 1142, and confirm exact values with the engineer.
Before we leave, the handrails are checked for alignment, secure fixing, and finish quality, so the completed work matches the approved sample.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay for the handrail sample?
Please ask our team when you make your inquiry, as sample arrangements are discussed with each project. We will explain clearly what is included before any work starts.
How long does sample approval take?
The time depends on the project and how quickly you review the sample. We will confirm the timeline with you after the measurement and drawing stage.
Can I change the color after I approve the sample?
Changes after approval may require a new sample and can affect the production schedule. It is best to review the sample thoroughly before signing off.
Can the sample be viewed at your factory?
Yes, you are welcome to see the sample at our workshop at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv, before the full order is produced.
Common mistakes to avoid
Approving a handrail from a phone photo alone, or skipping the written specification, is the most common cause of disappointment. Always look at the physical sample in the real light of the installation site.
Our recommendation
Take the sample to the staircase or balcony and view it at the time of day you use the space most. Confirm your approval in writing so the sample and the production run are clearly linked.
Summary
Handrail sample approval protects you from costly surprises by letting you check the finish and profile before full production begins. Measurement, drawing, sample, written approval, then production and installation keeps every stage clear.
