Requesting a Handrail Site Visit and On-Site Measurement
t362-37

To get custom handrails made correctly, request an on-site measurement: send photos and a short description of the stairs or balcony, and our team visits to measure the exact dimensions. You then receive a drawing and written specification for approval before production begins at our Tel Aviv factory.
Why an On-Site Measurement Matters
Handrails are made to measure, and small differences in wall position, step width or floor level can change the fit completely. Photos help us understand the project, but they cannot replace a physical measurement. A site visit lets us check the real conditions before anything is cut or welded.
During the visit we also look at how the railing will be fixed, whether the wall is brick, concrete or tile, and whether any existing elements need to be taken into account. This reduces surprises on installation day.
How to Request a Site Visit
Start by contacting us with a few clear photos of the area and a short description of what you need. Helpful details include the type of space, whether it is an indoor or outdoor staircase, the approximate length, and any existing railing you want replaced.
- Photos from several angles, including the top and bottom of the stairs
- Your address in Israel and preferred days for the visit
- Any drawings or plans you already have
Once we review your request, we will arrange a convenient time for the on-site measurement.
What Happens During the Measurement
Our team measures the length, height, angles and fixing points, and checks how the handrail will meet walls, landings and posts. We note the material and finish you prefer, such as hot-dip galvanized steel or powder-coated iron, and discuss the look you want.
Measurements are taken carefully and recorded on site so that the production drawing reflects the real space rather than an estimate.
Drawing, Specification and Your Approval
After the visit we prepare a drawing and a written specification covering dimensions, profile, fixing method, finish and installation notes. You review these documents and can ask for changes before anything goes into production.
We only start manufacturing once you have approved the drawing. This step protects you from mistakes and makes sure everyone has the same expectations.
Production and Finishing in Our Factory
Handrails are manufactured in our workshop at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv, where our craftsmen cut, bend and weld the steel or iron to your drawing. Parts are then finished with hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, depending on the location and the look you choose.
Working in one workshop, from first cut to final finish, helps us keep quality consistent across every piece.
Installation and Final Check
On installation day the handrail is fixed to the wall or floor using the method agreed in the specification. We check alignment, height and stability before we consider the job finished.
For railing height, grip and fixing requirements, the Israeli railing standard SI 1142 is the general reference, and exact values should be confirmed with your engineer for your specific project.
Frequently asked questions
Is a site visit necessary, or can you make handrails from photos alone?
We strongly recommend an on-site measurement, because photos cannot show exact dimensions, wall conditions or fixing options. Measuring on site is the most reliable way to get a handrail that fits correctly.
How do I start a request for a handrail site visit?
Send us clear photos of the stairs or balcony along with a short description of what you need and your preferred visit days. We will then arrange a convenient time to come and measure.
Will I see a drawing before the handrail is produced?
Yes. After the measurement we prepare a drawing and written specification, and production only starts once you have approved them.
Do you handle both the measurement and the installation?
Yes, our process covers the on-site measurement, drawing, factory production, finishing and installation, so you deal with one team from start to finish.
Common mistakes to avoid
Relying on rough measurements or photos alone is a common error that leads to handrails that do not fit. Skipping the approval of the drawing can also result in changes that are difficult to make later.
Our recommendation
Before the site visit, clear the area and note any wall or fixing concerns so the measurement is quick and accurate. Review the drawing carefully, checking heights and fixing points, before approving production.
Summary
A handrail site visit lets us measure your real conditions, prepare an accurate drawing for your approval, and produce and install a railing that fits properly.
