Steel Frames for Workshops and Light Industrial Units
t482-6

A steel frame workshop building uses a custom steel skeleton of columns, beams and bracing, designed around your machinery, loads and access needs. It gives you clear spans, flexible layout and a structure that can be extended later. Each frame is planned, produced in our factory and installed to your specification.
Why small manufacturers choose a steel frame
A steel frame gives a production space the strength of a solid structure without wasting floor area on unnecessary supports. Because the columns and beams are fabricated to measure, you can plan wide open bays for machines, a mezzanine for storage or an office, and doors sized for the trucks and materials you actually handle.
Steel also works well for units that may change over time. Additional bays can often be added later, and the structure is predictable to inspect and maintain.
Planning the layout before production
Good results start with a clear list of what goes inside. Write down your equipment, the approximate weight of each machine, the workflow from raw material to finished goods, and the vehicles that need to enter. These details shape column positions, bay widths and the height needed for lifting equipment.

- Loading doors and vehicle turning space
- Future expansion plans
- Crane or hoist requirements
From site measurement to written specification
After the initial inquiry with photos, our team measures the site on location. We then prepare a drawing and a written specification covering dimensions, steel sections, connections, bracing and finishes. You review and approve these documents before any steel is cut, so changes are made on paper rather than in the factory.
Structural loads and code requirements are confirmed with the responsible engineer. We do not assume values; the specification states what the engineer has verified for your project.
Fabrication and finishing in our factory
Every member is cut, drilled and welded in our workshop at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv, following the approved drawings. Quality checks happen at each stage, so dimensions are confirmed before assembly.
For durability, frames are finished by hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, depending on the environment. Galvanizing suits humid or dusty spaces, while powder coating offers a wider colour range for visible structures.
Installation and site coordination
Installation requires a foundation that matches the drawings, with anchor bolts set accurately. Our crew erects the frame, checks plumb and level, and fixes the bracing before cladding is added. Coordinating with the concrete contractor and the cladding installer early prevents delays on site.
Plan access for cranes or telehandlers during erection, as this often determines the sequence of work.
Cladding, doors and finishing details
Once the frame is standing, the building needs walls, roof sheeting, doors and windows. Choose roller doors and personnel doors sized for your daily traffic, and consider ventilation and natural light for working comfort. Steel stairs and handrails for a mezzanine can be produced in the same workshop, keeping the project coordinated under one supplier.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a custom steel frame take to produce?
Timing depends on the size and complexity of the frame and the current production schedule. We confirm the timeline once the drawings and specification are approved.
Do I need an engineer for a workshop steel frame?
Yes, structural design and load checks should be confirmed by a qualified engineer. We coordinate with your engineer so the fabricated frame matches the approved design.
Can a steel frame be extended later?
In many cases yes, if the initial layout is planned with future bays in mind. Mention expansion plans at the inquiry stage so the design can allow for them.
Is galvanizing or powder coating better for a workshop?
Galvanizing is generally the stronger choice for humid, dusty or corrosive conditions. Powder coating suits indoor or visible structures where colour matters.
Common mistakes to avoid
A common mistake is fixing door and column positions before confirming vehicle access and machine layout. Changing these after fabrication is costly, so plan the workflow first.
Our recommendation
Before the inquiry, sketch your production flow and note the largest machine and vehicle that will enter the building. Sharing this with us early lets the frame be designed around how you actually work.
Summary
Custom steel frames give small manufacturers strong, flexible and expandable workshop space, planned to measure and built in our Tel Aviv factory.
