Glass Partition Ordering Steps for Facility Managers

t423-31

t423-31

To order a glass partition for a business facility, send photos and the intended location, arrange an on-site measurement, approve a written drawing and specification, then the glass and frame are produced at our Tel Aviv factory and installed. Following these steps in order avoids measurement errors and delays on site.

Start with a clear inquiry

Begin by sending us photos of the space and a short description of what you need: a fixed partition, a sliding partition, a glass vitrine or a combination. Note the purpose of the area, such as a meeting room, reception counter or storage display, because it affects the glass type and frame design.

  • Photos of the area from two or three angles
  • Approximate location within the building
  • Preferred frame finish and whether you need doors

A complete inquiry lets us understand the project before anyone visits the site.

Arrange the on-site measurement

After reviewing your inquiry, our team measures the opening on site. Measurements should be taken at the floor, middle and top of the opening, because walls and ceilings are rarely perfectly straight. Please make sure the area is accessible and any existing finishes that could be affected are identified in advance.

If the floor is still being finished, let us know so we can account for the final level.

Review the drawing and written specification

Based on the measurements, we prepare a drawing and a written specification covering dimensions, glass thickness and type, frame profile, hardware, door arrangement and finish. Read it carefully and check that the layout matches how your staff will use the space. Ask about anything unclear before approving.

What to check

  • Door swing direction and clear passage width
  • Glass type and any safety or privacy requirements
  • Fixing method for the walls, floor and ceiling

Approve the order in writing

Once the drawing and specification are correct, you give written approval. This approval is the point at which production starts, so changes after this stage can cause delays and additional work. If your building committee or contractor needs to sign off, arrange that before approving.

Keep the approved drawing on file so your maintenance team has a reference later.

Factory production and finishing

Production takes place in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Frames and glass parts are cut and assembled to the approved dimensions, and metal components receive the agreed finish, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, depending on the design. Quality is checked before anything leaves the workshop.

Working to measure means each partition is built for its exact position rather than adapted on site.

Installation and handover

On the installation day, our team fixes the partition or vitrine to the structure and adjusts the doors and hardware so they operate smoothly. Please confirm access and any site rules in advance, and plan for the work area to be cleared. At handover, we walk through the operation of doors and hardware and explain basic care for the glass and frame.

  • Confirm access and working hours
  • Clear the installation zone
  • Review operation and care at handover

Frequently asked questions

How long does the ordering process take?

The timeline depends on the size of the project and the production schedule at the time of approval. We confirm the expected timing with you once the specification is approved.

Do you measure the site before quoting the work?

Yes, an on-site measurement is part of the process before the drawing and specification are prepared. This ensures the partition fits the actual opening rather than the original plan.

Can we change the design after approval?

Changes are possible, but they are easiest before production starts. Changes after approval may require revising the drawing and can affect the schedule.

Who should approve the drawing for a building?

Approval should come from the person responsible for the project, and where required by the building, from the building committee, contractor or architect. Confirm these approvals before signing off.

Common mistakes to avoid

Ordering before measuring the actual opening or approving a drawing without checking door swing and clear width are the most common causes of rework. Always verify measurements and layout with the people who will use the space.

Our recommendation

Measure at several points and mark the floor and ceiling levels before sending your inquiry, and walk the route the partition's doors will use. Have your building contractor or engineer confirm structural fixing points before production begins.

Summary

Send photos and details, arrange an on-site measurement, approve a drawing and specification in writing, then production and installation follow in order. This sequence keeps glass partition projects accurate and on track.
