Schedule Door Installation for Your Custom Metal Door
t418-42

Door installation is scheduled after the client approves the drawing and written specification, once the door is produced and finished in our Tel Aviv factory. The installation date is set together with the client, and the team confirms it after checking that the opening and site conditions are ready.
Step 1: Approved Order and Specification
Installation planning starts only after the client has approved the drawing and the written specification. This document lists the door type, dimensions, frame details, opening direction, locks, glazing or infill, and the finish. Any change at this stage is recorded in writing, because a change after production starts affects the schedule and the work.
Please check the specification carefully and confirm the details with your architect or contractor if needed.
Step 2: On-Site Measurement Before Production
Before the door goes into production, our team measures the opening on site. Wall irregularities, floor level and the thickness of finishing layers are recorded, since these affect how the frame sits. The measurement result is compared with the drawing, and any difference is discussed with you before work begins.
- Opening width and height at several points
- Floor level and threshold height
- Wall material and finishing thickness
Step 3: Production and Finishing in the Factory
Once the measurements are confirmed, the door is manufactured at our factory on Rival Street 37 in Tel Aviv. Iron and aluminum parts are cut, welded or assembled to the approved drawing. Finishing, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, is applied before delivery so the door arrives ready to fit.
Production time depends on the order, so the team gives you a planned date once the work is scheduled.
Step 4: Agreeing the Installation Date
The installation date is agreed with you after the door is finished and ready for delivery. We ask you to confirm that the site is accessible, that the opening is clear of old frames and debris, and that someone will be present to receive the team. Weather, access restrictions and building rules can all affect the timing, so the date is confirmed shortly before the visit.
Step 5: Site Preparation Checklist
A few preparations on site help the installation go smoothly and avoid delays. Please make sure the opening is ready and that the area around it can be safely used.
- Remove old doors or frames if they are part of the scope agreed
- Clear the path from the entrance to the opening
- Confirm electrical or access points needed for locks or automation
- Ensure the floor is level and finished where the threshold sits
Step 6: Installation, Checking and Handover
On the agreed day, the team fits the frame, aligns the door, and secures it to the wall. Operation is tested, including opening, closing, locking and the seal. Any small adjustment is made on the spot, and the finished work is shown to you before the team leaves. Safety rules that apply to railings and fixed metalwork, including the Israeli standard SI 1142, are checked with the engineer where relevant.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I schedule door installation?
Schedule once your specification is approved and the door is in production, since the installation date depends on finishing and delivery. Your team will give you a planned window and confirm the exact day shortly before the visit.
Do I need to be present during installation?
Yes, it is best if someone with authority to approve small adjustments is present. This helps the team check the opening, locks and operation with you directly.
What if the wall opening does not match the drawing?
The team measures on site before production to catch differences early. If a mismatch is found during installation, we discuss the solution with you before making any change.
Can the installation date be changed?
Yes, but please let us know as early as possible so the team can adjust the schedule. Last-minute changes may affect the next available date.
Common mistakes to avoid
A common mistake is booking installation before the specification is approved or before the opening is measured on site. This often leads to a door that does not fit and a delay while it is corrected.
Our recommendation
Prepare the opening, confirm the approved specification, and make sure someone is available on the installation day. Clear communication before production saves the most time.
Summary
Door installation is scheduled after approval, on-site measurement, factory production and finishing, with the date confirmed with you before the team arrives.
