Upload Your Drawings to Begin Aluminum Door Fabrication
t418-44

To start an aluminum or iron door project, upload your drawings or photos with the opening dimensions and intended use. Techno Kol Uzi reviews the plans, confirms measurements on site, prepares a written specification for your approval, and then manufactures the door to measure in our Tel Aviv workshop.
Why Uploading Drawings Speeds Up Your Project
Sending your drawings at the start saves time for everyone. A clear plan lets our team understand the opening, the swing direction, the frame type and the finish you need before anyone visits the site.
Useful files include architectural elevations, door schedules, section details and any hardware notes. Even a sketch with dimensions is helpful. If you only have photos, include several angles and a tape measure in the frame so we can estimate scale.
What to Include With Your Upload
The more information you share, the fewer questions we need to ask later. Please include:
- Opening width, height and depth, marked on the drawing
- Door type: single, double, sliding or folding
- Material preference: iron, aluminum or a combination
- Glazing or panel infill, if any
- Swing direction and handing from the inside
- Location in the building and the intended use
On-Site Measurement and Verification
Drawings show the design, but the wall tells the truth. After reviewing your files, a member of our team visits the site to measure each opening directly. We check for out-of-square walls, floor level differences, and the position of existing frames or thresholds.
Measuring on site prevents costly mismatches. If the opening differs from the drawing, we note it and discuss the adjustment with you before production begins.
Drawing and Written Specification for Approval
Once measurements are confirmed, we prepare a drawing and a written specification. These describe the profile sizes, the construction method, the hardware, the glass or infill type, and the finishing process. Hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating options are listed where relevant.
Please review both documents carefully. Approval in writing confirms the scope, so production starts from an agreed plan. Any changes after approval may affect the schedule, so it is best to settle details at this stage.
Production at Our Tel Aviv Workshop
After approval, the door is fabricated in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Our team cuts, welds and assembles the iron or aluminum frame to the verified dimensions, then fits the locks, hinges and infill.
Finishing follows production. Galvanizing protects steel against corrosion, and powder coating gives a durable colour finish. Each door is checked for fit and alignment before it leaves the workshop.
Installation and Handover
Installation is carried out by our team, who bring the door to site and fix it into the prepared opening. We check that the door swings freely, closes correctly and seals against weather, then review operation with you or your contractor.
Coordinate with your builder on floor finishes and wall preparation before the installation date. Clear access to the opening helps the work go smoothly on the day.
Frequently asked questions
What file formats can I upload for my door drawings?
PDF, JPG, PNG and common CAD exports are generally suitable. If you have a different format, send it anyway and we will confirm it can be read.
Do you need a site visit if I already have exact dimensions?
Yes, we still recommend a site visit to verify the opening. Walls are rarely perfectly square, and measuring on site prevents fitting problems later.
Can you build a door from a rough sketch?
A rough sketch with dimensions is a good starting point. We will review it, ask any questions needed, and produce a formal drawing for your approval before manufacturing.
Who installs the door after it is made?
Our team carries out installation at the site. We recommend coordinating timing with your builder so the opening is ready on the agreed date.
Common mistakes to avoid
Sending drawings without the opening dimensions or swing direction often causes delays and revisions. Approving a specification without reading the finish and hardware details can lead to surprises after installation.
Our recommendation
Mark the swing direction and finished opening size on your drawing, and check that the wall and floor are close to finished before the door is installed. Early coordination with your builder avoids most site problems.
Summary
Upload your door drawings, confirm measurements on site, approve the written specification, and let Techno Kol Uzi produce and install your iron or aluminum door to measure.
