Book a Repair or Adjustment Visit for Your Metal Door
t418-47

To book a door repair visit, contact Techno Kol Uzi with a short description and photos of the problem, and we will arrange an on-site inspection. After measuring and checking the door, we give you a written specification and, once you approve it, repair or adjust the door in our Tel Aviv factory and install it.
Why a Repair Visit Starts with a Clear Description
Most malfunctioning metal doors, whether iron or aluminum, show signs that help us understand the problem before we arrive. Sagging, rubbing on the frame, a lock that catches, gaps at the bottom or a door that will not close smoothly are all useful clues.
When you contact us, it helps to note:
- Which door it is (entrance, balcony, garden or internal)
- What happens when it opens or closes
- When the problem started and whether it has worsened
- Photos of the door, hinges, frame and lock area
This information lets us prepare the right tools and parts for the visit.
The On-Site Inspection and Measurement
During the visit, our team inspects the door leaf, hinges, frame, threshold and locking hardware. We take exact measurements of the opening and the door so that any adjustment or replacement part fits correctly.
We check whether the problem comes from the door itself, from the frame, from the wall structure or from wear on the hardware. Sometimes a simple adjustment is enough; other times a component needs to be remade. We will explain what we find in plain language before anything changes.
Written Specification and Your Approval
After the inspection we prepare a drawing and a written specification describing the work: what will be adjusted, repaired or replaced, the materials and the finish. You receive this document to review at your own pace.
Nothing is produced until you approve the specification. If you have questions or prefer a different option, we discuss it before we start. Clear agreement at this stage prevents misunderstandings later.
Factory Work and Finishing
Approved repairs and custom parts are made in our factory at Rival Street 37 in Tel Aviv. Our workshop has operated since 1945 and is run by the third generation of the family, so the same care for metalwork carries through every job.
Where the door needs protection against weather, components can be hot-dip galvanized and then powder coated. This finishing step helps the door stay in good condition, especially in exposed locations.
Installation and Adjustment on Site
Once the parts are ready, our team returns to install them and complete the adjustment. We align the door, set the hinges and lock, and check that the door opens, closes and seals properly before we leave.
- Check the alignment and swing of the leaf
- Test the lock and latch action
- Confirm the seal at the threshold and edges
We walk through the result with you so you know how to care for the door.
Tips to Prepare for Your Visit
A little preparation makes the visit smoother. Clear the area around the door so the team can work safely, and make sure someone who can answer questions is present. Keep any earlier paperwork or drawings that relate to the door.
If the door is part of a building entrance or shared area, check with your building committee in advance whether access or approval is needed. This avoids delays on the day.
Frequently asked questions
How do I book a door repair visit?
Send us a message or call with a short description of the problem and clear photos of the door and hardware. We will then arrange a convenient time for the on-site inspection.
Do you repair both iron and aluminum doors?
Yes, our factory produces and repairs iron and aluminum doors. We assess each door on site to decide the right approach for the material and the problem.
Will I know the details of the work before it starts?
Yes. After the inspection you receive a drawing and written specification describing the work, and nothing is produced until you approve it.
Where is your workshop located?
Our factory is at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv, where we manufacture and finish metal components before installing them on site.
Common mistakes to avoid
Waiting until a door is badly misaligned or damaged before booking a visit can make the repair larger. Small signs like rubbing or a sticking lock are much easier and quicker to correct early.
Our recommendation
Take photos of the door, hinges and frame before you contact us, and note exactly when the problem happens. This detail lets the inspection focus on the real cause and often shortens the visit.
Summary
Booking a repair visit is simple: describe the problem, let us inspect and measure, approve the written specification, and we handle the factory work and installation.
