How to Approve a Stainless Steel Sample Before Full Production

t474-43

t474-43

To approve a stainless steel sample, review a physical or prototype piece against the agreed drawing for finish, dimensions, welds and fit, then sign off in writing. Once approved, the sample becomes the reference for the full production run, which prevents costly changes later.

Why a Stainless Steel Sample Matters

Stainless steel looks simple, but small differences in grade, brushing direction, weld finish or edge detail can change how a railing or gate looks on your building. A sample lets you see and touch the actual material before we cut the full order.

Approving a sample early protects both sides. You avoid surprises on site, and we avoid reworking parts that were already made to a version you did not expect.

What We Prepare for Your Review

Before production, we prepare a sample that reflects the key features of your project. This is usually a short section of railing, a corner detail, a bracket or a panel, depending on the product.

  • Material type and surface finish
  • Profile, thickness and key dimensions
  • Weld and polish quality at joints
  • Mounting method and fixing points

We send photos and the written specification along with the sample so you can compare them with your plans.

How to Check the Sample

Look at the sample in daylight, since stainless steel reflects light differently indoors and outdoors. Check that the finish matches what you selected and that the surface is even, without visible scratches or heat marks.

Test fit where possible. Hold the piece against the wall, opening or handrail it is meant for. Confirm that heights, spacing and wall fixings suit the site. Where safety is involved, final loads and dimensions are confirmed with the engineer, and the Israeli railing standard SI 1142 is referenced in that review.

Written Approval and Change Control

Approval should be given in writing, by email or WhatsApp, with the sample reference and any comments. Please list every change you want, even small ones, before giving the go-ahead.

Once you approve, the sample and drawing become the reference for production. Any later change may require a new quote, a revised drawing and a new sample, so it is best to settle details now.

From Approved Sample to Full Production

After approval, the order moves to the factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Each part is cut, formed, welded and polished to match the approved sample. Where specified, we apply the agreed finishing steps before delivery.

We keep the approved sample as a reference on the production floor so that every part of your order looks consistent, from the first piece to the last.

Installation Checks After Delivery

When the order arrives, compare the installed pieces with the approved sample. Check alignment, fixings, gaps and finish under the actual lighting at your property.

If something differs from the sample, tell us quickly with photos. Our team can then measure on site and agree on corrections, keeping the project on schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay for a stainless steel sample?

Sample terms depend on the project and are agreed with you before we start. Please ask us for the details that apply to your order.

What if the sample looks different from my expectation?

Tell us what you expected and send reference photos. We can adjust the finish, profile or detail and prepare a revised sample before production begins.

Can I approve only part of the design?

Yes. You can approve a key detail, such as a corner or a joint, and agree on the rest of the design based on the drawings and specification.

How long after approval does production start?

Production starts once the sample and written approval are confirmed. We will give you a timeline when we agree on the order.

Common mistakes to avoid

Approving a sample quickly without checking light, fit or finish on site often leads to changes after production. Always compare the sample with your actual wall, opening or railing before signing off.

Our recommendation

Approve the sample in the same daylight and location where the product will be installed, and confirm every change in writing before production starts. This simple step saves time and avoids rework.

Summary

A stainless steel sample is your chance to confirm finish, size and fit before the full order is made. Written approval turns that sample into a clear reference for accurate production.
