Ordering Custom Steel Frames: Step-by-Step Process
t488-42

To order custom steel frames, you send an inquiry with photos, we measure on site, prepare a drawing and written specification, and you approve it before production starts. The frames are then made to measure in our Tel Aviv factory, finished, and installed at your property.
Step 1: Send Your Inquiry With Photos
Start by contacting us with a short description of what you need: a steel frame for a balcony, a pergola, a gate surround, a structure for a storefront, or another custom piece. Photos of the location and any existing elements help us understand the job before we visit.
- Where the frame will be installed
- Approximate size and purpose
- Any existing finishes or materials it must match
A clear inquiry lets us plan the visit efficiently and avoids unnecessary back-and-forth.
Step 2: On-Site Measurement
One of our team members visits the site to take accurate measurements. We check the openings, wall condition, floor levels and how the frame will be fixed. Measuring on site is essential because even small differences between plans and reality can affect fit.
Tell us about any access limits, such as narrow stairwells or building rules, so we can plan the delivery and installation in advance.
Step 3: Drawing and Written Specification
Based on the measurements, we prepare a drawing showing the dimensions, profile types and fixing points, along with a written specification describing materials and finishes. This gives you a precise picture of what will be produced before any steel is cut.
Where the frame carries loads or sits near a railing or guard, structural and safety requirements are checked with the responsible engineer. Exact values are confirmed at that stage rather than assumed.
Step 4: Client Approval
Review the drawing and specification carefully. Check dimensions, the finish you selected and the installation method. Ask questions now, because changes are far easier before production than after.
- Confirm all dimensions against your site
- Confirm the finish, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating
- Approve the drawing in writing
Production begins only after your approval.
Step 5: Production and Finishing
Once approved, the frame is cut, welded and assembled in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv. Working in the workshop allows precise control over alignment and quality. After fabrication, the steel receives the agreed finish, typically hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection or powder coating for appearance, and then it is prepared for transport.
Step 6: Installation
The finished frame is delivered and installed at your property by our team. We fix it according to the drawing and check alignment, level and stability before completing the work. Once installed, we review the result with you so everything meets the approved specification.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the whole process take?
The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the frame and the current workload. We confirm the schedule when the drawing and specification are approved.
Do I need to be home for the measurement?
It is helpful if you or a representative can be present so we can confirm details and access. Let us know in advance if that is not possible.
Can I change the design after approving the drawing?
Changes are possible but are easiest before production starts. Any change after approval may affect the schedule and specification, so we will confirm it with you in writing first.
Do you work with architects and contractors as well as homeowners?
Yes. We work with private homeowners, building committees, contractors, architects and interior designers, following the same step-by-step process for each project.
Common mistakes to avoid
Ordering before the site is measured or approving a drawing without checking the dimensions can lead to frames that do not fit. Take time to verify every measurement and finish before giving the go-ahead.
Our recommendation
Send photos and note any existing materials the frame must match before the site visit. Read the drawing against the actual opening yourself, and approve it in writing only when you are satisfied.
Summary
Ordering custom steel frames is simple when you follow the steps: inquiry, measurement, drawing, approval, factory production and installation. Clear information at the start makes the whole process smoother.
