Perforated Metal Panels Custom Made for Your Interior Design

t503-10

Custom perforated metal panels are decorative sheets of steel, stainless steel or aluminum with a pattern of holes cut to your design, sized and finished for a specific space. Techno Kol Uzi produces them to measure in its Tel Aviv factory, working from your drawings and a written specification before any cutting begins.

What Perforated Metal Panels Are Used For

Perforated metal panels combine a functional surface with a strong visual element. Interior designers use them as room dividers, ceiling features, wall cladding, cabinet fronts, radiator covers, reception desk fronts and acoustic screens. The openings let light and air pass through while still giving the surface a clear, sculptural presence.

Because the panel is metal, it keeps its form over time and can be used in both indoor and semi-outdoor settings when the right material and finish are chosen.

Choosing the Pattern and Hole Layout

The pattern is where the design starts. Common choices include round, square, slotted and organic shapes, and each one reads differently depending on the hole size and the spacing between holes. Larger openings give a bold, graphic look, while small, dense perforations feel more refined and soft in light.

  • Hole diameter and spacing set how much light passes through
  • Staggered layouts create movement; straight grids feel calm
  • Pattern should be checked against the panel size so it ends cleanly at the edges

Material and Thickness Options

Steel, stainless steel and aluminum are the usual materials. Steel suits most interior projects and can be finished in several ways. Stainless steel fits wet areas, kitchens and spaces that need a clean, polished look. Aluminum is lighter and easier to handle for large panels that must be lifted or mounted overhead.

Thickness affects stiffness and how the holes look at the edges. For larger panels we recommend discussing thickness and support spacing during the drawing stage, so the panel stays flat after installation.

From Drawing to Finished Panel

Our process starts with your inquiry, including photos or sketches of the space and the pattern you have in mind. We take the on-site measurements, then prepare a drawing and a written specification covering material, pattern, sizes, fixing method and finish. Nothing goes into production until you approve that specification in writing.

After approval, the panels are cut and formed in our factory, then finished and delivered for installation. Pattern alignment across joined panels is checked during production so the design reads continuously on site.

Finishes and Protection

The finish sets both the look and the lifespan of the panel. Powder coating offers a wide range of colors and a matte or satin surface. Hot-dip galvanizing gives strong corrosion protection for steel and suits exterior or humid locations. Stainless steel can be left natural, brushed or polished.

Let us know where the panel will be installed so we can recommend a finish that suits the exposure, cleaning routine and the color scheme of the room.

Working With Us as a Designer

We work directly with interior designers, architects and contractors. You can send a concept image, we confirm feasibility, and we provide drawings you can share with your client or site team. Clear dimensions and a sample of the desired pattern save time at every stage.

For larger projects, we can coordinate installation timing with the rest of the site work so the panels arrive when the space is ready for them.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reproduce a pattern from my own design file?

Yes. Send us your pattern file or a clear drawing with dimensions, and we will check it for production before quoting the work. We may suggest small adjustments to hole spacing so the panel can be cut cleanly.

Which material should I choose for a bathroom or wet area?

Stainless steel is generally the better choice for wet and humid spaces. Galvanized or powder-coated steel can work in some indoor settings, but we will confirm the best option for your exact location.

How do I send my measurements?

Send photos of the space with approximate dimensions, and we will arrange an on-site measurement. Exact sizes are confirmed on site before any drawing is approved.

Do you install the panels as well?

We can coordinate installation as part of the project. Please mention your requirements in the inquiry so we can plan the fixing method and timing with you.

Common mistakes to avoid

Designers often choose a hole pattern without checking how it will look at the panel edges and joints. Leaving material, thickness and fixing method until late can also cause delays or changes to the look.

Our recommendation

Send a finished concept image together with the room dimensions and lighting direction at the start. This lets us check the pattern and thickness early, which keeps the final panel true to your design.

Summary

Custom perforated metal panels give interiors a distinctive surface that is both decorative and functional. Techno Kol Uzi makes them to your design, measured and specified before production in our Tel Aviv factory.
