Schedule Handrail Repair Assessment With Our Team
t362-43

A handrail repair assessment is an on-site visit where our team inspects the existing railing, checks its fixings and condition, and recommends whether it can be repaired or should be replaced. You receive a written specification before any work begins, so you know exactly what will be done and approve it first.
What a handrail repair assessment includes
A repair assessment is a practical visit to your property. We look at the handrail as it is installed today, not just from photos. Our technician checks the material, welds and joints, the anchoring into the wall or floor, and any signs of rust, cracks or looseness.
We also note how the railing is used. A stair rail that a child grips daily needs a different solution from a rarely used balcony rail. The goal is an honest answer about what is safe, what is worth repairing and what should be replaced.
Booking the visit
To make the most of the visit, send us photos of the handrail and the area around it before we come. Include a short description of the problem, such as wobbling, rust, a broken section or a loose anchor.
- Photos from a few angles
- Approximate length and height of the railing
- Where it is located: indoor stairs, balcony, entrance or roof
- Preferred time for the visit
We will confirm an appointment that suits you.
On-site measurement and inspection
During the visit we take exact measurements of the handrail, the posts, the wall or floor fixings and any nearby elements that affect the design. We test the stability of each fixing and record the condition of each part.
Where needed, we discuss the Israeli railing standard SI 1142 in general terms. Exact dimensional values are always checked with the engineer for your specific project, so we do not rely on guesses.
Drawing and written specification
After the inspection we prepare a drawing and a written specification. It describes the scope of work, the materials, the repair method or replacement, the finish and the installation steps. Nothing is produced until you have read and approved it.
What you receive
- A clear sketch of the railing
- A list of parts to repair or replace
- The material and finish proposed
This document protects both sides and removes surprises later.
Production in our Tel Aviv workshop
Approved work is produced in our factory at 37 Rival Street, Tel Aviv, where we have manufactured iron, aluminum, glass and stainless steel works since 1945. Repaired sections are cut, welded and shaped to match the original profile wherever possible.
Finishing follows the specification. Depending on the material, this may include hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, which protect the metal from weather and corrosion, particularly on balconies and outdoor stairs.
Installation and final check
Our team installs the repaired or new handrail at your property and checks every fixing and joint before we leave. We confirm that the railing is firm, aligned and finished as agreed.
If you have questions after installation, our team is available to review the work with you. A well-planned process from assessment to installation means fewer surprises and a railing you can rely on.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay for the repair assessment?
Please contact our team to discuss the visit details. We will explain what the assessment includes before you decide to go ahead.
How long does the assessment visit take?
The length depends on the number and size of railings to be inspected. Our team will give you an estimate when confirming the appointment.
Can you repair a handrail instead of replacing it?
In many cases yes. During the inspection we check whether the existing rail is sound enough to repair, and we recommend replacement only when repair would not give a safe, lasting result.
Do I need to be home during the visit?
It is helpful if someone who can show us the railing and access points is present. Please let us know your preferred time so we can plan the visit.
Common mistakes to avoid
Waiting until a handrail is badly loose or heavily rusted before inspecting it, and trying to fix a wobbling fixing with filler or adhesive instead of checking the anchor itself.
Our recommendation
Have a loose or corroded handrail inspected early, while the damage is still limited to the surface or the fixings. Ask for a written specification and approve it before any work starts.
