Submitting Your Glass Balustrade Specifications for a Quote
t348-40

To get a useful glass balustrade quote, send clear photos, the location and approximate dimensions of the balcony or stairs, and your preferred glass and finish. We then take an on-site measurement, prepare a drawing and written specification for your approval, and only then move to production and installation.
What to Prepare Before You Contact Us
A good quote starts with good information. Before you write to us, gather a few photos of the area where the balustrade will go, taken from a couple of angles so the layout is clear.
- Photos of the balcony, terrace or staircase edge
- Rough dimensions: length of the run, height from floor to top of the railing
- Whether the edge is a slab, a stair stringer, or a wall
- Preferred look: frameless, with a handrail, or with a base profile
You do not need exact drawings at this stage. Just note what you already know, and we will fill in the rest during the visit.
On-Site Measurement
After we review your inquiry, we arrange a visit to measure the space. Measurement is the step that determines whether the glass fits safely and looks right, so we take it seriously.
During the visit we check the exact length of each section, corners and level changes, the substrate the glass will be fixed to, and any obstacles such as drains, door swings or electrical lines. We also discuss how the glass will be fixed, whether to channel, spigot or base-mounted, because each method needs different allowances.
Drawing and Written Specification
Once we have measured, we prepare a drawing that shows the layout, heights, glass panel sizes and the fixing method. Alongside it comes a written specification listing the glass type and thickness, handrail material, finish, hardware and installation notes.
Please read both documents carefully. If anything differs from what you had in mind, such as the panel divisions or the handrail position, tell us before approval. Changes are far easier at this stage than after production begins.
Client Approval
Your written approval is the point where the project is locked in. We ask you to confirm the drawing and specification in writing, which protects both sides and avoids misunderstandings later.
- Check that all dimensions and heights match your space
- Confirm glass type, handrail and finish
- Ask about anything that is unclear
For buildings with a committee or a contractor, we can send the documents to the relevant person so approval happens in one round.
Production in Our Factory
Once the specification is approved, the work moves to our workshop at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv. Metal components are cut, welded and shaped to measure, and the glass is ordered and prepared to the confirmed sizes.
Finishing follows production. Steel parts can be hot-dip galvanized and powder coated for long-term protection, and we check each component against the drawing before it leaves the factory. This is the stage where careful preparation at the start pays off most.
Installation and Final Check
On installation day our team fixes the posts or base profiles, sets the glass panels and fits the handrail. Each panel is checked for level, alignment and secure fixing before we finish.
After installation we walk through the completed balustrade with you, explain how to care for the glass and metal, and confirm that everything matches the approved specification. For the exact safety requirements that apply to your railing, including the Israeli railing standard SI 1142, we verify the details with our engineer as part of the project.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need drawings before requesting a glass balustrade quote?
No. Photos and rough dimensions are enough to start. We prepare the detailed drawing ourselves after measuring on site.
How long does the process take from inquiry to installation?
The timing depends on the project size and the current production schedule, so we confirm it with you once the specification is approved.
Can I change the design after approving the drawing?
Changes are possible before production starts, but they may affect the layout and the timeline. Please raise any concerns before you approve.
Do you measure before giving a formal quote?
Yes. We measure on site so the quotation and drawing reflect the real conditions of your balcony or staircase.
Common mistakes to avoid
Sending a request with only a single photo and no dimensions, or approving the drawing without checking the heights and panel divisions. Both lead to avoidable changes later.
Our recommendation
Measure the total run length and the height from the finished floor to the top of the railing, and note any obstacles at the edges. Accurate starting information is the single biggest factor in getting a precise quote.
Summary
A clear inquiry with photos and rough dimensions leads to on-site measurement, a drawing and specification, your written approval, factory production and careful installation.
