Requesting Custom Stainless Steel Hardware for Glass Railings
t348-44

To get custom stainless steel hardware for a glass railing, send us photos and a rough description of your balcony or stairs, then we measure on site and prepare a drawing and written specification for your approval. Once approved, the clamps, handrail supports and fixings are made to measure in our Tel Aviv factory and installed to fit your glass exactly.
What to Send With Your First Inquiry
The fastest way to start is a clear inquiry. Send photos of the area from a few angles, including the wall, floor or stair edge where the railing will sit, and any existing railing you want to replace. A short note about the glass thickness, the height you need and whether it is a balcony, a stair or a terrace is very helpful.
- Photos of the full run, from several angles
- Approximate length and the type of surface (concrete, tile, steel, wood)
- Whether the hardware should match an existing finish
If you already have the glass, tell us its thickness and type so we can plan the fixings correctly.
On-Site Measurement
Photos help us understand the project, but precise dimensions come from measuring on site. Our team checks the exact length of each run, the level of the floor or stair nosing, the wall condition and how the glass panels will be positioned. Corners, slopes and uneven surfaces are noted so the hardware fits the real structure rather than the drawing.
Please keep the area clear and let us know if the glass is already delivered or still to be ordered, since that changes how we take the final measurements.
Drawing and Written Specification
After measuring, we prepare a drawing and a written specification. The drawing shows the layout, the position of each clamp or support and how the handrail sits relative to the glass. The specification lists the materials, the stainless steel grade, the finish and the fixing method.
- Layout and positions of all hardware
- Stainless steel type and surface finish
- Fixing method for the wall, floor or stair
Please read both carefully before approving, because they are the reference for production.
Client Approval Before Production
We do not start production until you approve the drawing and specification in writing. This step protects both sides: it confirms the dimensions, the finish and the number of pieces before any metal is cut. If something does not look right, tell us and we will revise the drawing. Small changes at this stage are simple, while changes after production take far more effort.
For railings that must meet building requirements, your engineer or architect should review the drawing too. Exact load and height values are confirmed with the engineer, and we follow the Israeli railing standard SI 1142 as a general guide.
Factory Production and Finishing
Once approved, the stainless steel parts are cut, formed and assembled in our factory at 37 Rival Street in Tel Aviv. Each piece is made to the measured dimensions, so the hardware matches your glass and your structure. Where the design calls for it, the parts are finished to match other metalwork in the project, such as balcony bars or handrails.
Finishing options are agreed at the approval stage, and the finish you choose is written into the specification so there are no surprises on delivery.
Installation on Site
Installation follows production. We fix the supports and clamps to the wall, floor or stair as planned in the drawing, then fit the glass panels and handrail. Checking alignment, level and tightness at each step prevents problems later. Before the railing is used, we check that every fixing is secure and that the glass sits evenly within the hardware.
If the glass is supplied by someone else, coordinate the delivery date with us so the installation runs smoothly.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send photos instead of waiting for a site visit?
Yes, photos are the right way to start your inquiry. We still need to measure on site before preparing the final drawing, because exact dimensions decide how the hardware fits.
Will the stainless hardware match my existing metalwork?
We can match finishes where possible. Tell us about the existing metalwork at the inquiry stage so we can agree the finish during the drawing and specification step.
Do I need to approve the drawing before production starts?
Yes. We begin production only after you approve the drawing and written specification, which confirms the dimensions, materials and finish.
Should my engineer review the railing design?
For projects that must meet building requirements, we recommend an engineer reviews the drawing. Exact load and height values are confirmed with the engineer, with SI 1142 as a general reference.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most common mistake is ordering hardware before the glass thickness and the structure are known, which leads to fixings that do not match. Approving a drawing without checking the layout and finish is another, since changes are much harder once production has started.
Our recommendation
Send the glass thickness and the wall or floor material in your very first message, and ask for the drawing and specification to be approved before production. This single step prevents most fitting problems with glass railings.
Summary
Custom stainless steel hardware for glass railings works best when you share clear photos, allow an on-site measurement, and approve the drawing before production. This process gives you hardware that fits your glass and structure exactly.
