Submitting Window Dimensions Online for Security Bars
t264-40

To get security bars planned remotely, send clear photos of each window and balcony, plus measurements of width, height and depth taken at several points. Our team reviews the data, prepares a drawing and written specification, and confirms details with you before production begins.
Why Remote Submission Works
Many customers prefer to measure their own windows and send the data online instead of waiting for a visit. This saves time and lets you plan at your own pace. The key is accuracy, because bars are made to measure and small errors affect fit.
Remote planning is practical for standard openings, apartment balconies and straightforward window sets. For unusual shapes or heavily damaged frames, we may still recommend an on-site visit before we finalize anything.
What Measurements to Take
Measure each opening separately and write the numbers down with a photo of the window. Record the width and height at the top, middle and bottom, since walls and frames are rarely perfectly square.
- Width at top, middle and bottom
- Height at left, center and right
- Depth of the reveal or frame
- Distance from the floor or ledge where relevant
Use a steel tape and round to the nearest millimeter.
Photos and Notes to Include
Photos help us understand the opening faster than any description. Take one wide shot showing the whole window in context, plus a close photo of each corner and of the frame profile.
Add short notes about the direction the window opens, whether it has a roller shutter box, and any obstacles such as air conditioning units, pipes or railings nearby. Mark which side the bar should be hinged or opened if you have a preference.
How We Review Your Submission
Once your data arrives, our team checks the measurements for consistency and flags anything that looks unclear. If something needs confirmation, we contact you before moving forward, rather than guessing.
We then prepare a drawing showing the bar layout, the fixing points and the dimensions, along with a written specification of materials and finish. You review and approve it before any production starts.
From Approval to Production
After approval, the bars are manufactured in our Tel Aviv workshop at Rival Street 37. Iron and aluminum components are cut, welded and assembled to the drawing, then finished with hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating depending on the material and the environment.
Quality checks happen during fabrication so that the final pieces match the approved dimensions.
Installation and Final Check
Installation follows production. Where a site visit is needed for fixing, we coordinate timing with you. Bars are fixed to the wall or frame with suitable anchors, and we check alignment, operation of any hinged or sliding sections, and the finish.
Keep your original measurement sheet and drawing after installation, as they are useful for any future maintenance or replacement.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send measurements without a photo?
It is possible, but photos are strongly recommended. They help us spot frame shapes, obstacles and mounting conditions that numbers alone may not show.
How many measurements should I take per window?
Take width and height at three points each, plus depth. Multiple readings reveal whether the opening is out of square, which affects how the bar fits.
What if my measurements do not match each other?
This is common in older buildings. Send all readings and a note, and we will advise whether a site visit is needed before finalizing the design.
Do I need to approve the drawing before production?
Yes. We prepare a drawing and written specification, and production starts only after you approve them, so you can check dimensions and layout first.
Common mistakes to avoid
The most frequent error is measuring only once or measuring the outer frame instead of the actual opening, which leads to bars that do not fit. Skipping the photos and notes about nearby obstacles also causes avoidable changes later.
Our recommendation
Measure each opening at three points, write the readings on a sketch, and photograph the whole window plus its corners before sending. Check your numbers against the photos before submitting.
Summary
Submitting accurate dimensions and clear photos online lets us plan your security bars remotely, with a drawing and specification for your approval before production.
