Window Design Consultation Process: From First Call to Plan

t404-9

t404-9

A window design consultation starts with a call and photos, followed by an on-site measurement and a drawing with a written specification. Once you approve the plan, the aluminum windows are produced to measure in our Tel Aviv factory and then installed at your home or project.

Step 1: The First Call and Photos

The process begins with a phone call or a message in which you tell us what you need. It helps to describe the room, the number of windows, and whether you are replacing existing frames or fitting new openings. Photos of the current window and the surrounding wall make a big difference, because they let us understand the opening before we visit.

At this stage we also talk about your goals, such as noise reduction, energy comfort, sliding or swinging opening, and the look you want. There is no obligation at this point, and we will tell you honestly whether an on-site visit is needed.

Step 2: On-Site Measurement

A member of our team visits the property to measure each opening carefully. Measuring on site is essential, because walls are rarely perfectly square and older buildings often vary from one side to the other.

  • Width and height at several points
  • Depth of the wall and the frame space
  • Sill, lintel and surrounding finishes
  • Access, floor level and any obstacles

We record everything so the production drawings match the real opening.

Step 3: Drawing and Written Specification

After the measurement we prepare a drawing showing each window, its opening type, dimensions, and profile details. Alongside it you receive a written specification covering the frame, glazing, hardware and finish, so every decision is clear before production.

If anything requires an engineering check, such as the size of a large opening or the load on a structure, we confirm it with the responsible engineer. You will not be asked to approve anything you do not understand.

Step 4: Client Approval

We send the drawing and specification for your review. You can ask for changes in colour, opening direction or hardware, and we update the plan until you are satisfied. Only after your written approval do we move to production, which protects you from surprises later.

Please check the measurements and the layout carefully at this stage, since they become the basis for manufacturing.

Step 5: Production in Our Factory

Your aluminum windows are cut, assembled and glazed at our factory on Rival Street in Tel Aviv, where the work has been carried out since 1945 by three generations of the same family. Each unit is built to the approved measurements rather than to a standard size.

Finishing, including powder coating where chosen, is carried out in line with the specification. Quality checks happen before anything leaves the workshop.

Step 6: Installation and Handover

Our team installs the windows at your property and checks that each one opens, closes and seals properly. We fit the frames level and plumb, then review the operation with you before we leave.

Any adjustments needed after installation are handled during the handover, so you can see the finished result and know exactly how to use your new windows.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the consultation process take?

The timing depends on the number of openings and how quickly you respond to the drawing and specification. We will give you a clearer schedule once we understand your project.

Do I have to be home for the measurement?

It is helpful if someone can let us in and show us the openings, but we can coordinate the visit with you in advance to suit your schedule.

Can I change the design after I approve the plan?

Changes are best made before approval, since production starts only after you sign off. If you need an adjustment later, we will discuss what it involves.

Do you work with architects and interior designers?

Yes, we regularly work with architects, interior designers and building committees, sharing drawings and specifications for their projects.

Common mistakes to avoid

Many clients skip the on-site measurement or approve a plan without checking the opening directions and hardware. Taking time at these steps prevents costly corrections after production.

Our recommendation

Send clear photos of each opening and note which way you want the windows to open before the visit. Reviewing the drawing carefully before approving it is the most useful step you can take.

Summary

Our window design consultation moves from a first call and photos, through on-site measurement and a drawn plan, to factory production and installation. Every step is confirmed with you before we proceed.
